Bubbling Witch Cauldrons & Poisoned Apples

This recipe is great for a cold day like today.

Bubbling Witch Cauldrons & Poisoned Apples:

2 cans refrigerated crusty French Loaf Dough
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
2 Chicken Breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup Red Onion, chopped
1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
1 can Chili Beans, drained
1 can Corn, drained
1 can Red Enchilada Sauce
3/4 cup Sour Cream
1/2 cup Ketchup
1 package Taco Seasoning Mix
1 Tablespoon Parsley
1 teaspoon Basil
Shredded Cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut each dough loaf into thirds.

Shape each piece of dough into a ball placing the seam at the bottom. Place dough balls on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Meanwhile, heat oil & saute chicken, onion, & bell pepper for 5-7 minutes until chicken is done.

Stir in the remaining ingredients except the cheese. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer 7 minutes until hot.

Take your rolls out of the oven.

With a knife, cut a small portion off the top of each roll. Lightly press center of bread down to form a bowl.

Fill each "cauldron" with 1 cup of the chicken mixture; top with cheese & enjoy! I served this with "poisoned" apples. (aka sliced apples)

  2. I made them. SIMPLE STUFF. Just get the french loaf dough (PIllsbury) in the biscuit section. I cut each loaf into 3 sections & formed them into a ball. Then bake them & you have a homemade bread bowl. ENJOY.
