Happy Hollow

While I was busy trying to get all the final details finished for girls camp, my mom & dad took all the kids to Happy Hollow in San Jose for the day.

It was SO nice having a day where I could focus on all my camp stuff & the kids had a blast with Mimi & Baba.

I didn't even know Happy Hollow existed.  What a fun place.  I'm so glad they had so much fun.

Night Games

My absolute favorite thing about summer is Night Games.  Trek & I are doing night games again here on base for all the base kids & for my kids' friends from school & church.

This year we've separated it into 2 groups
5-11 year olds
& 12-18 year olds.

This totally worked out amazingly.  The younger kids didn't get trampled & the older kids could play hard without hurting anyone.  We had a wonderful turnout too.  We had about 25 in the younger group & 35 in the teen group.

It was a blast.  I can't wait to do it 4 more times this summer.

Girls Pampering Day

The day after school got out, my mom took all of us girls out for a pampering day.  We had SO MUCH FUN.

First we all got haircuts. . .

After getting our hair done, we all got amazing pedicures (Taya's first pedicure) which was the highlight of my entire week.  I SO love pedicures & haven't had one in almost 4 years.  After pedicures, we bought Beauty & the Beast, then took it home & watched it together.

It was such an amazing, relaxing day with my girls & with my sweet mom.  Thank you Mom for making such a memorable day for all of us.

Cadence's 8th Grade Graduation

Cadence was SO ready for 8th grade graduation.  She's been looking forward to High School for ages now & the time is FINALLY here.

My dear friend Luti made Cadence the most beautiful lei & haku for her graduation day.

Once we got her robe, panther paw, lei, & haku on . . . she looked gorgeous.  We are so proud of the young woman she is becoming.  She is going to be amazing in High School.  I just know it.

It was fun seeing her walk across the floor to get her diploma, but it was even more fun seeing her with all of her dear friends after the ceremony.  Unfortunately, most of her friends will be going to a different high school than her, so this was goodbye for a lot of them.  But she is excited to attend Mountain View High School & I know she'll have some of the same friends there with her, & she's sure to make new friends too.

We are so proud of you Cadence.
